Teeing Up To Raise Money for John Taylor Hospice
20 March 2013An Erdington golf society dance has raised more than £4,000 in support of a Birmingham-based Hospice.
John Taylor Hospice was chosen as the St Thomas Association Golf Society’s (STAGS) annual cause for the third time, benefiting from all the profits raised at their annual prize giving bash, a much anticipated night in their events calendar.
STAGS secretary, Brendan Reilly said: “We’ve supported John Taylor Hospice for three years now as many of our members know of or have lost someone dear at the Hospice.”
Club chairman Les Gwillym added “I believe everyone who needs a Hospice would like to receive care there."

Since the formation of the golf association twelve years ago, they have gone from strength to strength, now boasting more than 40 members who play and compete at courses all over the Midlands.
Hospice communications officer, Amanda Young said: “The money raised by St. Thomas is a testament to the strong links our business community has with the Hospice.
“John Taylor Hospice has been at the very heart of the community for more than 100 years, caring for people with life limiting illness and providing a wellbeing service for families, friends and children affected by loss.”
